Hi, Becca!
You are so talented. I love looking at your work. I think my favorite is the still life w/ pipe.
Hope all is well.
Love, Aunt Laurette
Becca, I have a new favorite. I just saw Espresso. It is beautiful! I would love it see the real painting. Again, you are SO talented. What a gift.
Love your new still lifes, Becca. What a great job at depth and detail. Maybe I will have you come out to Colorado when we build our new house to do something special for us. You would have free room and board, but of course, we would pay you for whatever you did. Our “Old World” house could use some faux painting with some kind of design in the dining room. Not necessarily vines but something that looks faded and has been there for years and years with the faux painting overtop. We hope to have arched window/doors that look out to Pikes Peak with a stoned patio area beyond so the dining can be moved outside on those wonderful CO evenings. Whatcha think? Love, Aunt Thel
Aunt Laurette, Thank you so much! I love checking in on Christine’s blog, (http://keepingupwiththecases.blogspot.com) and hearing about their wonderful chaotic life. Congratulations on another beautiful grand baby!
Aunt Thel, Your plans for your new home sound absolutely beautiful! I’ll gather some pictures of faux painting we saw in Italy, and please keep me up to date on the progress of your new place. “…arched window/doors that look out to Pikes Peak with a stoned patio area beyond…” -wow, how romantic!
Rebecca,
Your work is amazing. Absolutely. It makes me proud to have sketched drawings with you as a kid. I love the still life paintings. However, I think they could be more exciting. Have you ever considered a still life of a robot fighting a dragon? Since you prefer using real models as opposed to photographs, I have some action figures I could let you borrow. Perhaps this could be a new direction in classical oil paintings.
-Steve
Becca,
WOW! I couldn’t be more jealous of you now. Your mom came to my shop a week or two ago and pulled out a book of your work so I had to search you out online. Your style is exquisite! You always were better at that than I was… She also informs me that your husband has begun his own coffee roasting, I may have to pick up a new account. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
Becca,
We have your coffee grinder painting in our kitchen. It really is a kitchen picture. I found the perfect place for it and I am going to send you a photo of it soon. I absolutely love it and I am so proud to say that my niece painted it!
If I had loads of money, I would buy the pewter beer stein painting. Another new favorite. What an amazing talent.
I’m looking forward to seeing your charcoals from your art school classes, too.
Take care in Seattle!
Love,
Aunt Laurette
